Loosing brake pedal pressure when on boost??
Hi all
As above when my car comes on boost then try and brake there seems to be no pressure in the pedal or it seems to go rock hard and is stupidly dangerous when needing to brake. Spec is.... 03 blobeye wrx Recently fitted new turbo and full exhaust system Also reversed the inlet manifold Relocated header tank Do you think any of these could be a factor ?? As it seemed ok before the mods took place any help and suggestions welcome Thanks |
Now that's odd!
Someone will clear things up. Are your brakes ok off boost? |
did u change pipe from manifold to brake servo, if so, did u refit non return valve that is inside ur original pipe,
|
+1 for the non return valve not being fitted
|
Yes I did mate I think that may be the problem as I've just found the return valve in an old pipe I took off. Thanks for the help!!!! On the other hand and maybe stupid but which way does it go back in??
Thanks |
Brake servo operates on a vacuum, so at a guess I would say air should pass FROM the brake servo out, but not TO the brake servo, if that makes sense - that will maintain the vacuum level :thumb:
|
So in other words the servo should push air out and not suck air in!
|
Yup, thats the idea :) nice work by gojonnyjo spotting that one - knowledge like that makes these forums great

Agreed more brains are better than one and all that :)
Thanks all |
