Been battered by very heavy rain in Notts today, but not as bad as Hinckley in Leicestershire -as this thread from PH alludes to..

We have been trying to work outside all day, one min its absolutly wazzing it down and the next its red hot and i mean on and off all day WTF :Suspiciou at one point i was stood in the rain piss wet through in a muscle vest sweating my balls off :freak3:

Saw hail like this when I lived in Oz. Trashed cars and ripped trees up. I was in a taxi when it hit and it broke the windscreen, dented every panel. Even destroyed this canvas roof thing at the zoo.

Was in hailstorm belgium on the meuse few years ago similar sized hailstones , it made holes in lock keepers slate roof and dented all his cars , we got into the lock just as it started doing so could rush inside the boat - the noise from them hitting the decks ( steel ) was awesome lol

Best storm in years. Loved it lay in bed gazing out of the window at the hail thunder and lightening.
