my prodrive pack bugeye

Well thought i would start a sort of progress thread of my scooby as it is still relatively standard ive had it about 2 months now and i have sum planned mods for it most of u will probably already of seen it as ive posted a couple of threads before so here she is current mods are

ppp pack
prodrive exhaust
k&n filter
and unknown make chav valve

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/photo-19.jpg

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/photo-17.jpg

recieved this on saturday courtesy of rob day (cheers mate) so sort of my first mod lol

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_1295.jpg

and recieved these today cant wait to get them fitted as they are well needed lol

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_1298.jpg

also ordered this on friday as my current one looks like it has been in there since the war so im hoping it arrives either today or tomorrow

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...IMG_1294-1.jpg

so thats it for now will keep updating when i make changes future mods will be refurbing the wheels once i decide on colour or changing them for a set of 18's and i want a high level spoiler as im not massively keen on the current one oh and a different exhaust dont want to squeeze to much power out of it as its done 90k so i think if i start pushing the engine it will pop so im gonna just wait till im a bit better financially and maybe save for a rebuild

Seriously though, the car looks nice mate!

Rob

craigybaby 26 June 2012 07:32 AM

Ha ha cheers rob appreciate it

Rob Day 26 June 2012 07:40 AM

What's your plans Craig?

craigybaby 26 June 2012 08:00 AM

Change the wheels to some 18's as these ones look to small but gonna refurb these ones grey in the mean time then I want a decent exhaust system and buy some black headlights as I'm to nervous to try painting these ones myself lmao

Rob Day 26 June 2012 08:20 AM

Either STI lamps or Prodrive/uk300 lamps?

I've a graham Goode Racing Exhaust @ 3" if any use, £250

Rob

craigybaby 26 June 2012 08:40 AM

Probably sti lamps as the prodrive seem to fetch top money lol Very interested if you still have it next month I will have it off you as funds are a bit tight at the moment is it a cat back and wht style exhaust tip?? I want to put more power under the bonnet but I'm worried about killing the engine because it's done 90k

martyp1970 26 June 2012 10:22 AM

Looks nice and clean mate, love the prodrive UK300 spoiler .

craigybaby 26 June 2012 10:24 AM

Cheers matey ye the spoiler is different I dont like it personally I want a high level one when funds allow lol

madmerlin 26 June 2012 10:56 AM

Love the car mate:thumb:

what Apex springs did you use btw, sits much better now, did it make the ride much harsher? i want my blob doing but can decide which way to go.

craigybaby 26 June 2012 11:12 AM

Cheers merlin they are 40mm drop all round wish the front had gone down a bit better but hey ho ye tbh I haven't noticed a massive difference in the ride quality still a nice ride maybe slightly more bumpier nothing to shout about really :)

craigybaby 10 July 2012 06:12 PM

well thought i would give this a little update as been doing a few bits and bobs so firstly i found out i had fitted the springs back to front which is why i was squatting so swapped them over and it levelled out

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...bbie/level.jpg

well this week ive taken my wheels off to be refurbed as the one was buggered a friend of mine lent me his wheels just to sit it on whilst they are being done so she now looks like this

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...79906943_n.jpg

the offending wheel
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...33787205_n.jpg

the colour ive gone for is gun metal grey so im hoping it will look smart :)

well today i decided to paint my calipers as they were lookin a bit rusty it was pissing down so had to do them in my garage and its a bit tight lol
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...80167560_n.jpg

so here is what i started with
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...56221643_n.jpg

wire brushed them down and gave it a couple of coats of red paint

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...84548128_n.jpg

and then the lettering tbh its not the best i dont really have a steady hand lol but im hoping once the wheels are on it wont be that obvious that my colouring skills arent nop notch lol
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...33689437_n.jpg

whilst i was waiting for them to dry i looked at my wheel nuts and they looked a bit rusty and horrible i thought about buying a new set but thought i would have a go with some auto sol and im quite impressed with the results

so from this
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...16373013_n.jpg

to this

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...10306844_n.jpg

all 5 compared to the rear 5
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...84427180_n.jpg

so thats where im at so far my wheels should be finished on saturday will post pics of the finished result :)
