Number plate relocation

Just purchased a classic wrx and the front reg is just a sticker on the front splitter. Which I personally think looks terrible.

Were would the plate of originally been mounted? Ideally I would like a small uk plate mounted at the top of the bottom grill (the hole were the rad sits). Is there a special bracket I can buy to relocate it there?

No, it would have been on brackets which were fixed to the TOP ail of the bottom grille opening. It fitted inside the grille opening.

You could put it where you are suggesting, using DECENT quality double sided sticky pads.

Halfords, most Carshops and car-paint places sell them.

I was looking into something like this:

Anybody used one?

Is it a UK car or an import? If it's an import you can legally use a smaller sized plate. If it's a UK car it has to be a standard size and shape.
