Where's our weather Guru?

I recall we had a chap who posted some accurate long-range weather forecasts.
Can we have an update? I am getting absolutely peed off with the rain.
I may have to abort this country & go to Spain for some relief before I go rusty!!:(

Can anyone help?

Would book you ticket to spain now mate. yet another year with the excellent summer being some random week in may and the remainder being the new monsoon season - happens every year you should know that !!

speye91 is the guy you're probably thinking of, but he'll probably have bad news for you, at least up until the latter part of June. Most of the charts are showing the jet-stream staying well south of the British Isles or smack on top of them for the next fortnight, which means the Azores high won't be able to move north over the country and bring with it good weather.

Like jono says, either book your flights now, or wait it out a few more weeks and hope for better from July onwards.

I'm the Great Weatherman ...... June will be wet, July changeable but dry overall, August will be wet and cold, September will be fine from mid-month on, October will be hot and dry, November will see cool days but full sun, December the average temp will be 13 degrees.

I cannot be accurate enough to declare into 2013 ....

It's what you love about the English climate

It all evens out over the year, if you wait long enough

Too bloody right mate, I thought the same thing so I've just booked flights and am off tomorrow. This weather is crap, and the whole hosepipe ban thing is just laughable on top of that. You couldn't make it up...

tony de wonderful 08 June 2012 11:27 AM

Pissing down here and cold. :(

alcazar 08 June 2012 12:16 PM

There seems to be a low "stuck" over the country.
Normally, lows or depressions move in of the Atlantic and either fill or move awy to the east.

This one is just moving E>>W>>E>>W>>E for the next few days, and not filling much.

So rainy and unsettled then:(

Edited to say: It's moving north, then away to the NE Saturday, but there are two more following it:(

I don't know why we still have weather reports on the telly after the news,i for one rarely take any notice of them.I happened to be listening to some weather report last week on telly just out of curiosity,it was lashing it down with rain and the reporter said put your sun cream on if you're going outside, something to do with UV.It was bloody black/grey clouds and p!ssing it down :lol1:
:cuckoo: Bloody Tart...
And its like we wait and wait for a bit of good weather, and the moment we get 2 days of nice sun,you get these assholes on the tv,cover up if you're going outside.Excuse me but most of the nation are covered up in water proofs, hats, coats etc majority of the year,so yes if we get a few days of sun,i'm stripping off,and i do have brain that tells me when i've been out in the sun long enough,i don't need the nanny state to let me know, really ticks me off   :hjtwofing

Is what i posted actually relevant to this thread :D
