Where's our weather Guru?
I recall we had a chap who posted some accurate long-range weather forecasts.
Can we have an update? I am getting absolutely peed off with the rain. I may have to abort this country & go to Spain for some relief before I go rusty!!:( Can anyone help? |
Would book you ticket to spain now mate. yet another year with the excellent summer being some random week in may and the remainder being the new monsoon season - happens every year you should know that !!

speye91 is the guy you're probably thinking of, but he'll probably have bad news for you, at least up until the latter part of June. Most of the charts are showing the jet-stream staying well south of the British Isles or smack on top of them for the next fortnight, which means the Azores high won't be able to move north over the country and bring with it good weather.
Like jono says, either book your flights now, or wait it out a few more weeks and hope for better from July onwards. |
hey drowned in the floods,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, lol

I'm the Great Weatherman ...... June will be wet, July changeable but dry overall, August will be wet and cold, September will be fine from mid-month on, October will be hot and dry, November will see cool days but full sun, December the average temp will be 13 degrees.
I cannot be accurate enough to declare into 2013 .... |
well i just hope this is a preview of the olympic weather

So basically the exact opposite off what was read in the Sun newspaper a few weeks back when the glorious weather was here with us when they were telling us we were in for a record breaking summer ahead ??!!! ah well " hot and dry in October ".. guess thats something to look forward to !!!!! notice the weather men are certainly a wee bit quieter with there long range forecasts these days, just as well we have your fine self here to advise us pete !!! |
It's what you love about the English climate
It all evens out over the year, if you wait long enough |

Pissing down here and cold. :(

There seems to be a low "stuck" over the country.
Normally, lows or depressions move in of the Atlantic and either fill or move awy to the east. This one is just moving E>>W>>E>>W>>E for the next few days, and not filling much. So rainy and unsettled then:( Edited to say: It's moving north, then away to the NE Saturday, but there are two more following it:( |
It's as I goddam feared
That Lovely weather we had back in March. ? We now have March weather. :( |

I don't know why we still have weather reports on the telly after the news,i for one rarely take any notice of them.I happened to be listening to some weather report last week on telly just out of curiosity,it was lashing it down with rain and the reporter said put your sun cream on if you're going outside, something to do with UV.It was bloody black/grey clouds and p!ssing it down :lol1:
