This extra bank holiday: what did you get?
Just interested, since I haven't found anyone who actually got ANYTHING yet.
Nothin !! Work and pay as usual !! :Whatever_
Self employed so nothing.
i got time + time today.
were discouraged to call it double time???? plus 8 hours added to our annual leave hours total |
I got to drive to Goole and back, for normal days pay:(
God I hate that 62:cry: |
Bank holidays are treble time for me :thumb::D
I was off, I got paid, should find out about my raise and car grade upgrade in the next couple of days :D
I am lucky I guess but I worked bloody hard to get this job, took risks and appreciate what I have. |
If you work a bank holiday, your legally entitled to a day in lieu. I tend to work all the bank holidays through the year and get 8 days added on to my holiday entitlement. (Minus boxing day, sod working that:hjtwofing)
I'm getting paid to be off.
Paid to be off today, we never work any bank holidays or this one.
Me, I got dirty at your house taking your brakes apart :D
(statutory recognised bank holiday day for me so had to take the day off [apprentice thing] and just get normal pay). :) |
I got lots of free rain :)

minimum holiday entitlement is now 28 days which now includes all 8 bank holidays, it is so your employer can make you work a bank holiday, no longer classed as a day in lieu Im self employed so no work no income etc |

We normally get both Mon and Tue anyway for this bank hol. We got Wed as an addition this year. Most have taken Thu and Fri off to get the full week. Don't be jealous though, as the forecast is crap all week :(
Paid day off from my place of employment, but MrsD made sure I didn't get a day off working :(
Worked and got a floating holiday back in lieu. Could have taken it off but chose to work because I've almost ran out of holiday already this year.
Retired, so pension as usual :)
Should of been off but worked it for double pay.(Tuesday)
