Is the Classic one same as Newage ?

Yes except classic is decat as standard and so is newage sti upipe.
only newage wrx has a pre-cat uppipe.

That's why my mate looking for decat one. He's has wrx with pre-cat uppipe and wants to get rid of it by fitting decatted one. So, in other words, any decatted uppipe will fit his car factory equipped with pre-cat uppipe, right ?

yes. I did the same. picked up a classic uppipe from a breakers for a tenner.
Your mates gonna want a remap afterwards tho.
