Goodbye Shell V-Power club
Shell sent me an e-mail on 31/5/12 telling me that my V-Power club points would be converted to driver's Club points as the V-Power club is closing.
As from 1/6/12 the Ferrari merchandise is no longer a redemption option. A bit short notice. The Ferrari merchandise was the only thing that attracted me to the scheme. I will try to redeem some points (they are a bit slow at amending the website) and see what happens. |
I switched to Tesco99 years ago, club card incentives seem far better too

I had lots of shell points and last time they did this they deleted all my points so they can go f*ck themselves. I switched back then to nectar and have done ever since

Pretty crappy news, won't stop me buying vpower though as its the nearest station to me, tesco is quite a distance and bp is more expensive.

i havent had no emails about this, and cant find any info. the points i get, i get back in vouchers to use on fuel

I havent had an email about this either. Are you sure its not just your account as it closes and reverts back to standard if V power is not used often enough.

V-Power left us in the lurch last year. I now avoid Shell.

As I do 10,000 miles a year, that's 500 gallons a year = 500 litres a quarter, all of it V-power, I don't think that can be the reason.
Look at the terms and conditions by logging in to your account and clicking "Terms and conditions" at the bottom of the page.

Like I said, they did this last time
Since then they have lost approx 10k a year in fuel :D |
i dont buy fuel to get incentives, so no odds to me, but a shame for those who do collect the points

i had email , saying you can use the points now at waitrose !!! still can use them on shell fuel tho !!
