What colour shall I do my wheels.

Got black rattlecanned wheels at the moment and they're making the entire car look awful and tacky.

What colour shall I have them power coated in? Was thinking a Metalic Charcoal, Gold or a Dull Bronze.

Have you seen the threads where powder coated wheels have snapped?

One was caught early enough...the other two not.:( Massive suspension damage too:(:(

How would powder coating make them crack? I'd get ride of alloys get some decent ones. I got set of 4

No I haven't. I had my rs watanabe wheels on my MX5 power coated but they seem to be ok.

OK, up to you........I've seen THREE threads on here, though where newage WRX wheels craqcked after being powder coated. One was just a carck, two were fatal to the wheel, caused bodywork and suspension damage, and COULD have killed someone.

I think I'd stick to having them sprayed.......

Oh dear I did a search and there are a lot of broken powder coated wheels.

Maybe the MX5 is ok because it's not a performance car. But Impreza wheels have to take a good amount of G force.

I better just get them painted.

I saw one of those threads the alloy was in a right state , puts me off powder coating to be honest but it's hard to tell if there was existing damage or the pc process caused the issue.

Oh and colour wise out of those you mentioned -gold :)
