Headlight Plastic Cleaner ?
Im having a cleaning session on the blobeye scoob at the moment and I've noticed my headlights clear plastic suffer from oxidation.
No matter how much I clean the headlight clear plastic, there is always a hard 'film' on the plastic around the edges and in some patches. You can scratch it off with your finger nail. Anyone got any home remedies or recommend any cleaning products to make the plastic clear and shiny again? Mucho Gracias! |

I use Meguirs PlastRX on my JDM Sti headlights and it works a treat :)

Or G3 :D
|
Or Greygate Plastic Polish, works lovely!
|
as the link and sand them but Id start at 2000 then work to 3000, makes life a lot easier and does less initial damage so is easier to polish/finish down.

Megs Metal Polysh (yes, you read that right) works well when worked with a foam applicator too if you happen to have some lying around. It's abbrasive enough to remove the oxidation without leaving any scratches.
Don't use Autosol though, that's too abbrasive. |
Thanks for advice guys, I will check these out and get my lights all nice and shiny again!

Sounds like the UV protection has broken down.
Once you have removed this you will need to replace with a UV protective coating. Nanolex, Gtech etc |
T-CUT. ;)

+1 for Greygate plastic polish, it is amazing stuff, about £7 on the bay of E.
