fuel starvation??????????????????/

on way home had bit of a play with a aston and all tight left and right hand corners car died for brief second??????????????? i've got three quarters tank fuel.

Fuel surge, common on classic impreza's, could also be that your fuel gauge isnt very accurate and you had less fuel than you think, normally happens with 1/2 a tank or less.

Tony:)

ukimpreza 28 May 2012 07:22 PM

had filled up this morning and had only done 50 miles

TonyBurns 28 May 2012 07:28 PM

Well could be your fuel pump, what year car do you have? (and what model?)

Tony:)

ukimpreza 28 May 2012 08:00 PM

its a 96 uk2000 just fitted hrc 290 pump and reg

alcazar 29 May 2012 09:43 AM

It's been mapped?

Don't hit much boost f it's doing that, it could cause bad det = end of engine, trust me;)

ukimpreza 29 May 2012 04:41 PM

only runnin actuator pressure had afrs checked and they ok remap in couple weeks

barnshaw 29 May 2012 05:07 PM

"playing with an aston" on actuator pressure. hmmm.

ukimpreza 29 May 2012 05:11 PM

come down have a go in it mate you'll be very suprised, a v8 aston is only bmw m3 speed wise. don't need huge amounts of boost for a quick car

Baz82 29 May 2012 06:37 PM

:lol1::lol:I had my arse handed to me when running on actuator pressure by an M3

ukimpreza 29 May 2012 06:40 PM

your car not mine.
its not all about the car get a **** driver behind wheel and it doesnt matter how much power the car has, specially down twisty back roads

barnshaw 29 May 2012 06:54 PM

I am sure he will take great pleasure driving slower, parking his V8 or V12 Aston on his gravelled drive of his detached estately home and walking into his house with a beautiful wife and steak dinner waiting.

thats of course while you are trying to resolve your fuel starvation problem on here

ukimpreza 29 May 2012 06:59 PM

what his aston thats on lease? he lives in next village in a semi detached.
feel free to continue with of subject stuff if ya like but yeah your right i'll still be trying to sort my problem out but hopefully someone with some decent input might be along (if there is any left on this site)

barnshaw 29 May 2012 07:06 PM

on a serious note as mentioned its obviously to do with fuel surge so the advice given above was good

ukimpreza 29 May 2012 08:02 PM

i have a new uprated pump fitted an three quarters full of fuel. could it be a problem with the jet pump?
