is there a recommended tyre for a classic?

am currently using 215/35/18 falken 452's and have a set of rb5 alloys needing a refurb so taking the opportunity to switch back down to 17's and get a brand new set of tyres.

whilst i probably won't do many (any?) track days, i would like a tyre that is good in both dry and wet conditions.

the only tyres i've used on my cars were pirelli p6000 for a few days and goodyear eagle gsd3 on my old audi a3 and now falken 452 on my subaru so i don't have much experience of different brands of tyre..

are the vredestein's that much better for the cost? in some places its a good 25% premium over the 452's which i've personally not found any issue with so far.

reading around some opinions that some tyres are suited for light cars only but not heavy cars, mine's a classic so base it on 1280kg or thereabouts if that helps?

the qualities i'm looking for are:
1) grip
2) durability
3) noise/comfort
