Oil Pressure Gauge
I have an oil pressure gauge in my MY97 Turbo 2000 Wagon, I have never had one of these before...
It all seems to be wired up at the Gauge however is giving no readings, I have been told there should be a sender unit installed... Is there a common place this could be for me to look and try to get this working? |
not sure if it depends on version but mines below the alternator in the top of the block
hope this helps |

Cheers guys
I will check there later as I dont have my socket set handy and will let you know of the results |
Most folk substitute the new sender for the old oil pressure switch, but some feel they can't do without that little light  or their sender won't physically fit, so buy a T-piece.
Whichever, it should be on top of the block behind the alternator. You could also look at the oil filter, sometimes there is a sandwich plate, (shudder) in between.......... If the sender is there, or where it SHOULD be, check it is connected to earth on it's outer body. If the gauge isn't working, try a short length of wire from sender body to earth. |
