Sigma Alarm Issue
The sigma alarm on my blob keeps going off after a few hours of arming it.
It's done this since I installed some gauges. I unplugged the gauges, and still the alarm goes off after literally 2 hours of arming it (quite consistent time-wise). The bonnet pin is broken but not connected; and the wire is not earthing from what I can see. It only started happening after installing the gauges so I'm wondering if I disturbed something whilst threading the senders through into the engine bay. Anyone have diagnostics they can use with the alarm to determine the fault? If I can find what's setting it off hopefully I can resolve it without shelling out a few hundred quid! Either that, or anyone recommend a reasonably priced sigma specialist? Thanks |
when disarming the alarm it will beep at you so many times, if you count them and look in your alarm book it will tell you what the last trigger was

which sigma alarm is it ? then we can find a user manual pdf, then you can go thru the keypad for diagnostics, it will tell you what the trigger is or the fault.

Sorry, quick update. Found a few online tricks tonight.
Issue appears to be the bonnet switch; am going to enable open door / bonnet / boot bleeps tomorrow and see if it beeps on arming. Have run the diagnostic once the alarm went off and it identifies it as the bonnet switch, even though I installed a new one today; suspect it may be the cable going to the switch earthing out... |
