I was wondering what make of car it was, does it need that many exhaust pipes :) I like how you avoided taking a picture from the drivers side as 99% of people would do that but then it would show the big rip in the drivers seat if you did :D

Proton satria gti. Same engine as the early lancer mitsi. 1.8 16v DOHC.

A very under-rated hot hatch in its day. Fun to drive, enjoy!
I thought the lotus badge was a piss take. But just googled it and proved myself wrong. Dont look too bad actually. Least its different
TBH it's a good little car, the suspension has been setup by Lotus as I remember. These were used for some track work as well. I have drove it and I think it's a fantastic handling car just a bit under powered. Thumbs up!
Drivers side inside and out
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...2/750240d2.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...22/proton6.jpg No rips or tears just a bit of sagging on the bolster,no biggy. Yeah its a shame about the power really just producing 130bhp but alot of people do the 1.8 turbo lancer engine conversions and that boosts the bhp up abit, there is a few running 300bhp on the owners forum. It really does handle well on the twistys too... |
i had one fantastic lil car and great around the corners
They're a nice car, been looking for one to use on track actually..
I remember these were good cars when they came out. Seems very cheap at £600 too.
My first car was a Proton Persona Compact SEi 1.6 16v, before it became the satria, the handeling was very respectable even on my lower than GTI spec one. I was slow in general, but at 17, it was enough! Slightly quicker than my mates escort XR3i, and mullered it on any country lane. Aaa the memories....
My mum had the 1.3, remember taking it to the Proton dealer in York, the salesman found out I had a 306 GTI-6 at the time and started slating it because the Satria was sooo much better - yeah mate LOL!!
I do like these. Didnt a guy do a full Evo conversion on one?:wonder: Was around 600bhp IIRC.
Looks like a b@stard child of a Pug and an MG.
i like it, are those arch extensions standard?? they look a little screwed on!
Same as a Mitsu Colt Gti
i had 1company car full leather all extra'snot bad car dont no how they hold up over time, lotus tuned suspesion.
I used to love these cars when they first came out and was so tempted to buy one. would make a great little track toy!

For the price of a decent set of wheels for an Impreza you've got a car that'll be reliable, cheap to run and fun to drive.

Nope this is how it came out the factory apart from the wheels.
Its exspensive to run tbh insurance is more than a impreza, paying £62 a month and it does 187 miles to £30 so not that great imo. Glad some people like it though as i was expecting a slating!:thumb: |
