22,000 left in the country I wouldnt bother.

stilover 07 May 2012 08:02 PM

If it was a VTS....

I still wouldn't bother.

rossyboy 07 May 2012 09:01 PM

Nah, 106 rallye/gti are a better bet.

I dont remember the VTR being revered in its day and thats key to classic status - ala 205 GTI, R5 Turbo etc

paulwrxboro 07 May 2012 11:10 PM

yeah i know its not a gti or evan a vts but seems ok for the price...probably needs another 10 years to be fair before people think hey thats pretty cool

ditchmyster 07 May 2012 11:20 PM

Wakey, wakey it's a T plate citreon, and he thinks it might fetch close to 3k or that someone would pay that for the other one.:cuckoo: no way would i even give £950 for it, so many better cars out there for that sort of money.

bustaMOVEs 07 May 2012 11:27 PM

Future classic:confused:

Really?

Who would collect a sh1troen:D

BOB.T 08 May 2012 08:45 AM

Just needs some seat that can be had for only £40...put some in then!

Jamescsti 08 May 2012 10:14 AM

If I was in the market for a cheap run about I might consider it if it goes for £950. Not a classic though.

LSherratt 08 May 2012 01:35 PM

Oh dear, barn find?

CREWJ 08 May 2012 01:38 PM

I have no idea how this will become a classic....

mattvortex 09 May 2012 02:08 PM

It would need at least another 15-20 years .

Some of the early 1980's XR2/XR3I are now sought after- well the decent examples that are left.

I saw a 1986 Citreon Visa GTI ( same engine as Pug 1.6 gti) being advertised recently. They are very rare now but they were nowhere near as common as the Saxo vtr/vts.

Norman Dog 10 May 2012 06:20 PM

You don't seem to see many of them nowadays, probably all decomposed or crashed.

Can't see them ever being a hot hatch classic like a Mark I Golf GTi, RS Turbo or 205 GTi. :)
