My Mondeo has a problem
Drove my Mondeo to work this morning fine. When I got in it to come home, I went to start it and instead of starting it just went 'click' once. Key out and try again, 'click'. So I got out to scratch my head and then tried again. Perfect, no problem. At first I thought , flat battery. But then it wouldn't of started at all would it. My dad says the starter motor stuck. ??? If so, does it mean it's on it's way out?

Ok mate. I'll check that . I ain't complaining tho, it's the first time it's done anything. I've had it a year, 1999 1.8 with 114k so I aint complaining. :)

Do you do a lot of short journeys? Ford use silver calcium type batteries and need a good charge and are more difficult to maintain a good charge. We had the same problem on our CMax, eventually it will just click repeatedly and nothing will happen. Replaced the battery and all was fine again.

Think you might be complaining when you find out that the engine has to come out to change the starter if its knackered.;)

Did you get this sorted ? just wondered if it was due to the dual mass flywheel ??
