Only two Scoobs that I saw on the track today - a black Impreza with gold wheels that got towed off at about 2:30 & a legacy turbo.

star of the day was the Escort Cosworth Old Street Garage ?(Driven by Mr Gallagher ?) who every time he had a bit of room round the hairpin, drifted it round sideways - excellent control - top man. A lot of the corners were coned & he took a supra on the RHS that was also overtaking at the Start/stop - he was so much faster than anything else.

Other highlights / oddities - Saab 900 turbo big bumper, Saab 9000 - massive spoiler - lots of blue smoke. nice metallic light blue paint job. Rover 800 vitesse !

Only saw 2 people put it in the gravel at the hairpin.

It was fun watching the RWD cossies twitching & trying not to lose it at the hairpin - in the dry !

There was almost a bit of fisticuffs in the pit lane too regarding braking (or lack of)

& the sun even shined too

As u may be able too tell , lots of alcohol has been consumed to ease the pain of the sunburn.
& tomorrows a holliday too !!!!

It was me with the Black Legacy, it's my new toy for the hot hatch days.
My Impreza was parked up the back next to the garages, but I wouldn't risk taking it out on those days, especially as I've just sold it.

The day went realy well, the waiting was a bit of a pain, but it was good to blether to the guys around, and the weather was great.

The cars got a bit of a knock, but it didn't go bang, and given that it came with STi3 4 pot brakes, suspension and a roll cage; I'm well chuffed - especially as I paid hundreds rather than thousands for it.
I've some engine mods in mind for the next one in June as it's all still standard there, and I'll have a chat with CC and JB for some more suggestions.

Yes the track was a bit crowded to risk the Impreza. did you see the BMW M5, he was a brave man to take it out amongst the modded hatches - although he did have a clear bit of track & was a lot faster than anything on the track at that time. Only saw him do one run though. would have been interesting to have seen it against the escort cosworth.

Was that the new shape M3?

I only saw him out once also. £40k worth of car and out with the bangers.
Brave or stupid?
