Classic STi gear box

Hi chaps,

Gearbox is dead and have an STi gear box with matching diff on way, wanted to find out what power they can hold.

Also the gear ratio will be different from my UK box, so my questions are, what are they like? 5th gear will it be screaming on motorway?

Any other help or advice would be great

Power wise they wont take much more than 400bhp depending on how you drive.
After 400bhp people start going for the 6 speed box.

The sti box will will have a shorter final drive I think its 400rpm more than a uk box
the gearbox in type r and RA are even shorter I believe.

What code is the gearbox?
As you can calculate the theoretical top speeds on a website.

not sure on code could find out. 400 you say this is good news as only at 344.

I had a mate with an RA, was mental on motorway.

Thanks for help.

Was hoping it would be stronger then the UK box.
