After 10 Months of Lying Dormant, The MK2 Awakes LOL.

After 10 months of being "Can't be arsed" with My Mexico, I decided to start it today as was booked in for it's MOT.

Coughed and spluttered a bit but came alive much to my enjoyment :thumb:

Roll on the Lakes Tour next Weekend.

Turn your speakers up :D

Great sound!!

dsemuk 30 April 2012 11:18 PM

Ah can't beat the induction noise of side draught carbs, a lumpy cam & a lightened flywheel :-)

No trick electronics back then, to keep it all ticking over.

prodriverules 30 April 2012 11:19 PM

Absolutely brilliant mate, love it and I will never forget the sound of my road/rally nova on twin 45's:luvlove:

stedee 01 May 2012 05:26 PM

lol remember those days of praying your car is going to start in the morning. you had to coax them into life with each car having its own particular starting sequence

My old mkII would start on the button, every time...at weekends but during the week when a girl I quite liked would be waiting at the nearby bus stop, not a fecking chance! She must have thought I bump started it every day! :o

Ste RB5138 02 May 2012 12:45 PM

Had that old chestnut with my old MK1 RS2000. Always started on the button. Come to take a girl I really liked out and it ran like a complete pig all night, So much so, I had to drive home and get the XR2 I had at the time out instead. Came to start it the next day...............................First pull and ran like a dream!!!!!!!

ScoobyWon't 02 May 2012 10:23 PM
