4 Pots and 17's

Hi,
I've provisionally fitted one of my 4 pots before i strip/paint it. However it looks very close to my wheel...

there wrx wheels mate are they ? you might need sti ones :thumb:

Myles 22 April 2012 08:51 PM

4 pots and WRX 17s do go, they come out of the factory that way! I had the godspeed 335mm setup under the wrx alloys. Now that was close to the alloy!!

Kwik 22 April 2012 08:58 PM

They are standard disc's, no conversion kit.
I can't turn the wheel at the moment as the rocker cover is off to fix a leaking gasket.

They look fine mate - seen smaller gaps than that. Remember, if they clear nothing is going to change when they rotate.

craigo 22 April 2012 09:09 PM

my bad thinking there kwik. you have a 3 mm gap there yes :thumb:

ilogikal1 22 April 2012 09:15 PM

I'd be more worried about your wheel nuts sticking out by an inch. :Suspiciou

Kwik 22 April 2012 09:20 PM

Lol, trust me they're going...

How much does a caliper expand during use?...

craigo 22 April 2012 09:24 PM

what are the std calipers on a classic wrx/turbo 2000 ?

Kwik 22 April 2012 09:25 PM

craigo 22 April 2012 09:27 PM

I'm not sure, my 17's aren't standard, std were 15's.

craigo 22 April 2012 09:31 PM

Kwik 22 April 2012 09:37 PM

I thought new age had different PCD.

Widetrack STIs from about 2004/05 onwards and hawk STIs went to 5x114, but before that all were 5x100. They are newage WRX alloys in your pic:thumb:

Kwik 22 April 2012 10:39 PM

Thanks very much chaps :)

steviecrump 22 April 2012 11:57 PM

They do fit, got them on MY96 Sti, 4 pots same wheels.:thumb:

alcazar 23 April 2012 12:29 PM

I have Brembos on mine with those wheels;)

The rears fit with Ian's fitting kit, the fronts are the Brembo calipers supplied by Ian at one time, I think they are Gran Turismo, but they fit with 330 mm discs:)
