it is brilliant , but who is making money from a dead artist ?

davegtt 17 April 2012 08:43 PM

Absolutely brilliant. Makes you wonder how many concerts are going to come alive with people like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley etc or whoever by putting something like this on for the fans.

Terminator X 17 April 2012 08:54 PM

How's it done though? Old footage converted to 3D? Does it look good in "real life" though as youtube clip could be enhanced ...

TX.

Thats amazing!!!

RobsyUK 17 April 2012 09:12 PM

They were talking about this on Radio 1 yesterday.

Jamescsti 17 April 2012 09:12 PM

A guy I work with went to see "elvis" like this at the men arena, he is a huge elvis fan but he said it was amazing.

i think its brilliant too , but does no-one else not think that record companys are raking it in by not having to pay anyone , but still charge a fortune to watch ? Its bad enough with people miming , but now they dont even need to be alive !

My first thoughts when I saw this was which artist would be first holographic concert and jacko sprang to mind

powerwrx 17 April 2012 11:17 PM

brilliant

skoobidude 17 April 2012 11:21 PM

Record companies also lose loads through file sharing, pirate CDs etc.

I never really got the Tupac thing. Was a big Hip Hop fan back in the day but that dude missed my radar.

Royalties etc will go to his family. They will never get away with just playing his music and using 'him' like that.

CharlySkunkWeed 18 April 2012 07:18 AM

are royalties not just a tiny fraction of total earnings ? Say its £60 a ticket , i bet the record company will get the most out of it !

Carlh 18 April 2012 09:43 AM

i watched a movie ages ago, called Simone. A female computer generated singer who performed at music concerts. Al Pacino is in it.

The bird is of course, extremly fit. :D

Apparently he's now available for download on the Pirate Bay. Ideal for kids parties.
