So what Version would the MY05 04/54 Plates come under? V8 or V9?

JTinnovations 17 April 2012 11:07 PM

Neither. It's an MY05, simple as that. The "V" numbering ceased with the first newage model :)

KAS35RSTI 18 April 2012 12:47 AM

I thought the MY was more used on UK cars and the Versions were used for Imports?

JTinnovations 18 April 2012 12:51 AM

Versions were used for the STi derivatives of the classic models, but it stopped with the newage models.

Search on here - you'll find plenty of references to it :)

V1 to 6 only ;) MYxx after that.

Litchfield didn't have any monopoly on the JDM cars in 03/04/05. They were all easy to bring over as model reports were available. And the MY05 can be bought over on an 04 plate now it just depends on the month of registration in Japan which would have to be August 2004.

Many people still refer to them with a version Kas even though as above, it's incorrect.
Some just find it easier to picture a certain model, for instance if someone said they had a V9 id immediately think of a widetrack blob, whereas if they said they had a MY05 I'd question if it was a widetrack or not.

So what am I (mis)remembering then? I recall lots of posts about how Iain was the only one with model reports blah blah. Was that another MY?
