Just had my 30K service yesterday and got home after hearing something slide about in boot and find a sealed 1 Lite bottle of Esso Ultron 5w40 fully synthetic oil. The service guy didn't mention it, but it's billed on my invoice, anyone know if there's any particular reason for it? Just to top up between now and next service or something?

Probably find it only half full. Takes 4.5 litres I think and thats 4litre bottle + 1 litre bottle which means they have a bit left which is yours as you have paid for it.

Well if it was a half empty bottle I would have thought that, but there's two entries for Oil (there's other oil, but two ultron entries) in he invoice and it's a SEALED (as in has those little plastic bits that snap when you open it, which weren't snapped) bottle like you'd buy off the shelf in halfords, not something you'd think a garage would use.
Never had it before, it was done at Osbornes in Colchester if anyone knows them. |
2 for the price of 1 offer this week :D.

I wish £8.47+VAT by my invoice :p

They did the same to me. Can't remember which garage it was (seeing as I change every service to try and find the best), but it was either Ace Kensington or Lancaster Pangbourne.
Where was yours serviced? |
