kevlar cambelts
Hi every1,has any1 brought one of these off ebay, are they any good,or does any1 recommend a make of belts for the impreza wrz?

In my opion not needed, standard rubber belt is perfectly adequate
|
have never seen the point of these belts.use a good quality belt from gates etc and pefectly fine even for big power engines.have never heard of a scooby belt snapping either in a long time.
|
These are gates kevlar belts,i found um on ebay £85 which for the money i think quite good?
|
still £50 dearer than normal gates belt and unless yours is a competiton car i wouldnt bother....thats £50 extra go go juice lol

i had a gates rubber belt slip 2 teeth on my old 2.5 engine (430bhp) from a launch, the cosworth belt on the new 2.1 hasnt missed a beat and has a lot more abuse, for the price difference its a no brainer if you ask me.

Gates and cosworth are the same belts

We tend to spec Kevlar belts for use with uprated cams on the basis that extra rpm is a given, and there is more load applied when pushing higher lift cams against higher poundage springs. We also like to use quality belt guides.
Other than that, a good quality stock belt is fine. |
