inner tie rod end fitting
 
hi every1 has any 1 fitted 1 of these before or is there any pict's that show you how to,ive got a passenger side one knackered didnt no wether to replace inner tie rod end or go for steering rack instead,any replies more than welcome pls.:notworthy
soz meant inner tie rods.....

2 x 19mm spanners or 17mm its one of them sizes anyway, crack them off make sure you count the amount of full turns when you un-screw,so when you put them back on it doesnt knock tracking out.proberly one of the easier jobs on a scoobie,done it a few times on them

cheers for that wrxolly,some1 did tell me ages ago they where a pain as thers a washer bent ove the nut were you take it out or something,but think il give it go probably the only thing i havnt changed on a car.

Track rod end off, nut off, steering boot off. Knock the tabs back that cover the nut on the steering arm, undo the arm (these can be bloody tight) apply thread lock to the new one (it will also have a new lock tab washer with it) screw it in, tighten it up, bend the tabs over & re fit the steering boot, nut & track rod end with the correct amount of turns. Double check everything's tight, put the wheel on & torque the nuts up.

legacydan your surry subaru spec aint ya? how much to fit? i got parts already gonna replace the track rod same time.
