I would like to fit an after market steering wheel but need to know how to do it. I am worried about the air bag. Sombody also told me that with the air bag disconnected the pre-tension system in the seat belts would not work. Any thoughts? Car is an MY97 Scoob

Doesn't seem to be that many thoughts out there... I'm interested in the same thing, have a MY95 with airbag.

My wife and I have a 96 WRX, which had an airbag on it. We tried several places and no one would touch it. We did find one garage down Leics way but they wanted to put a horrible button on the dash for the horn, which I refused. In the end we went to Prima Racing, in Stapleford, Notts who put a lovely Momo steering wheel on for us, but it came with a £300 price tag, which included the wheel, the boss and 2.5 hours to fit it, plus the horn is still in the centre of the wheel.
Hope that helps some :)
