Tardis?

Hi,

Anyone used this stuff? I bought some and used it yesterday, the instructions said to apply it with either a brush, cloth or spray, adjitate and hose off. Well I put it on with a foam applicator gave it a rub and hosed off. It seemed to to losen the tar but didnt remove it.

Is that the recomended way to put it on or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

spray on and leave for a few mins(2 or 3) rinse off with a hose or wipe off with MF, it`s good stuff.

Ah I left it on too long then.

Cheers.

Have you tried Iron X ? I've used Iron X and then Tardis. Works well.

tardis is good, as mentioned 2or3 mins and wash off, not just rinse, also get yourself a clay bar thats good stuff to. Iron x also comes highly recommended!

1min then wipe down with a MF, then wash.

"utosmart Tardis is solvent-based, and should thus be used neat. For best results, wash and rinse your car as usual and then, working on one panel at a time, spray it on liberally and allow 60 seconds for it to work. Then take an Atomiza Microfibre Work Towel and wipe the panel down gently to remove any stubborn nibs of tar or honeydew, etc. Finally, rinse the panel down thoroughly with an open ended hose before moving on to the next panel. Once the whole car is done, discard the towel (don't try and wash it, because it will stink out your washing machine), rinse the whole car once more and then proceed to the claying stage in order to remove any remaining bonded inorganic contaminants"

I prefer Orchard AutoCare Tar Cleanse over Tardis, due to the Tar Cleanse being more of a "gel" so less run off.

Tardis is VERY good, it should be as its designed to clean tarmac laying trucks, just be careful with it around stickers and wheel weights.

Barry - where do you get this stuff from locally?

Tardis is an AutoSmart product, available from their franchise, I think yours might be Bryan Hall on 028 7774 1847

Or give Ronnie at Orchard AutoCare (based in Northern Ireland) a bell on 07784 258006 for his tar remover.
