Waste gate size and makes

Hi guys, Im just at the end of building my first Subaru engine , I've forged the motor with eagle rods and mahle pistons, I've got acl race bearings sti 3 heads . Arp bolts and cometic gaskets, lateral v spray injectors(720cc).I've just bought a second hand Garrett gt 3040r turbo and about to fabricate my own rotated set up . What size waste gate / what spring?/ what makes are good without breaking the bank???? Aiming for 500 bhp for now.Seen ones from USA or demon tweaks etc but not used external waste gate before so not sure. The build has been done on a budget and need to keep costs down for 6 speed and ecu, hence doing all work myself.

Ps the engine will be going into my mk2 vw golf that I've made with Subaru engine/running gear/breaks etc. it's fairly standard at mo, 260bhp but flies in the light golf.should be a beast when i get this engine in.

Thanks for help.

A friend of mine owns a tuning place, give them a call they should be able to help, they will supply you with a top notch wastegate too, the website is http://www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk/...2vn9h5grai1ue6
Cheers Ian.

you should get away with 38mm wastegate but i['d go with tial 44mm wastegate with 1bar spring, should do the trick
