Toad ai606 brain location

Hi all my alarm hasnt worked for a while now and its starting to pee me off for the fact i have to unlock the door with the key and the fact insurance wont pay if it gets knicked.

I have a civic type r (ep3) i have googled it but nothing comes up cause ....
Well thieves would also google it i suppose;i have looked under bonnet
And behind the glove box and under steering wheel but cannot find it ;also tried following wire from the alarm bell but goes into the driver wing

Thanks all and pm me if anyone knows thanks phil

It all depends who fitted it, I used to do alarms and it varied a lot, you'll not miss it once you find it though, odds are it'll be tucked up under the dash area somewhere, if it's been done properly it should involve some amount of removal to get to it

as its a aftermarket system the fitter could have put it anywhere mate they all have there own preferences as to the best place to hide them.

Thanks guys, just wanted to get to it to see if a wire had come lose as there is no response with the fob and even the light inside the car for the toad isnt working so cant even turn ignition on off etc to enter my pin

Found the toad brain on the bottom it says sensitivity +- so must be it ,can any one tell me if all them wires belong to it as im going to have a quick look next weekend and dont want to upset the car in any way :freak3:

Not a sparky but thought id have a look myself better than paying someone £200 if it has become disconnected some how

That's the jobbie, there is 1 loom coming from the unit, from there the wiring will go to your ignition loom for power and starter cut, the to just above fuse box for either a low amp ignition cut or fuel cut in drivers chill, then drivers kick panel where 2 wire will go into door for central locking, easy really mate

Does the alarm power up when u put in or does it blow straight away?

zs_phil 01 May 2012 02:01 PM

Interior red light doesnt work but as soon as i put a fuse in it lights up for 0.5 seconds until it blows which is quite instantly

P600wrx 01 May 2012 05:36 PM

If the fuse is blowing straight away then there is a direct short to ground u can spend hours trying to find it, or just have a new alarm fitted, most alarm places will have a look but if it's not a trapped wire it could be the brain itself, if u need a new cat 1 the ai606 is an awesome alarm and I believe there is a lifetime warranty on the brain, but u need to have the install recipet from when it was fitted I think,
