I'd think seriously about not going on a wickers world boat trip in that area.

I'd prioritise rescuing my mum by any known means, and then think about the moral issue and the strategy to demolish such industry etc. later. I am not a senior politician or something, so I can feel and operate like a human. Saying that, I can't see our PM not paying ransom, if it comes to his mum. Or, if Prince Charles's mum (the queeen) gets kidnapped, all tax payers' money may be used to get her back. In such cases, the moral issue will be ignored like it never existed. Well, my mum is my queen :cool:, and I will do anything to get her back.

Like Tony, pointing out the danger, I am not letting my mum going there for a holiday. :D

His mother's life is all important of course.

I find it galling that his father was murdered, his mother imprisoned, and these *******s get away with £700,000 in ther pockets!

they would have killed her in a heartbeat had he not paid, the idea of 'not giving in to kidknappers' is for the media only, ransoms get paid all the time.

I realy don't get why folks will go anywhere near somalia, its THE pirate capital of the world and anywhere they can snatch high value targets they will. She was staying in an upmarket hotel near the somali border
