bought this http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...1uJmg60_12.jpg on e-bay last sunday went to collect it yesterday.

pictures do tell lies

i hope the charge the battery got over 173 miles home from newcastle is enough to keep it starting till friday when i can afford a new one.

it was running rough and missing along the A69 but cleared itself out on the m6 south home to northwich.

covered in dog hairs.

good points its been serviced new oil & filter new fuel filter and plugs and a new air filter.

clutch brakes and gearbox are good it was ok on the fuel.

i have replaced 2 headlight bulbs and number plate bulbs and replaced 3 wiper blades.

changed the batteries in the alarm fob.

fixed a non working rear wiper and got the washers working.

it needs two new wings.both are dented and one has had a very poor repair involving lots of filler.

needs a plastic inner arch liner on the o/s.

the o/s mirror is cabled tied on.

the bonnet needs spraying as does the rear bumper.

but saying that it drives spot on.

a couple of knocking bushes somewhere.

but solid and steady drive after it had blown the cobwebs out.

signed up to get some info on these cars as i have always wanted one and i like to do a bit on my cars to get them back into shape.

im 47 from northwich got a wife and two grown up kids and a border terrier called berry who is going to give us some puppies this year.,love shooting woodturning and buying abused cars for little money and getting them looking and running right.

if anyone has the following parts for sale especially if they are the right colour i would be very interested in buying them.

2 front wings

plastic arch liner o/s

o/s drivers mirror

Don't think it's a bargain but hey, welcome to scoobynet buddy.

thanks for the replies.

i will get my kids to show me how to put pics on here.

im going to treat this car as a spring project and i can do most of the work myself so its only the parts i need.

it is going to be used as a daily driver starting from tonight as its my work hack.

i like a challenge and i like the ruggedness of this car.

im more of the having a car running right and maintained, than polishing so this car fits the bill.

it cost me 7.50 to get to newcastle

i had wipers and bulbs in my sulking shed

and best of all it was £270 to insure fully comp for me and my lady.
