compression test
 
hey guys. i have a 97 turbo2000 wagon and i am going to test compression of the piston rings. Does any body know what the piston ring compression should be? cheers phil

You'd do better to test and post the results, a petrol engine is normally around the 200 psi mark. Have you ever done one before?

its my brother doing it as he is a mechanic so he knows what he is on with just needed to know what it should roughly be

Comps should be between 142 to 171 psi.
Minimum around 120psi and difference between cylinders of around 30 psi.
