compression test
hey guys. i have a 97 turbo2000 wagon and i am going to test compression of the piston rings. Does any body know what the piston ring compression should be? cheers phil

You'd do better to test and post the results, a petrol engine is normally around the 200 psi mark. Have you ever done one before?

its my brother doing it as he is a mechanic so he knows what he is on with just needed to know what it should roughly be |
Comps should be between 142 to 171 psi.
Minimum around 120psi and difference between cylinders of around 30 psi. Mick |
