Rota Wheels - Are They Any Good

Hi All,

Just about to upgrade the wheels on my 2004 UK STI, I want something with a fairly aggressive offset so that the arches are nicely filled.

I was going to go for a set of Prodrive PFF7s but after seeing some of the Rota wheels I am tempted to buy some.

So questions . . . . . .

Are the any good in terms of quality

What is the best offset to get the arches nicely filled out ?
I want go 18s but not sure on offset or width, I was thinking about 8.5" as I think 9"s are probably a little too wide.

What do you all think?

Kind Regards

Chris

Hi Chris i can only recommend ROTA,we are running aggressive offset(9.5JX18" ET38) on our wagon.

Quality is spot on and really we never have any issue with them.

About the offset and width,do you running the coilovers?

For fairly aggressive offset(ET38) you will need run the coilovers or camber bolts. For best advice i would contact here Mags@RTS https://www.scoobynet.com/member.php?u=35589,he is dealer of Rota and he still give us best price, service and advice

Hi there we are running the K-sport 8pots 356mm at front and at rear we are running the K-sport 6pots 330mm and i think those Rota will fit over Brembo

To the OP, these are 8x18 (et48) with 235/40 tyres. I've added 12mm spacers at the rear.

I would look to go no more than 8.5" or ET34 to fill the arches if you wanted a normal/chunky tyre fitment, but with enough camber and arch rolling you can fit 9.5" with stretched tyres. For the best advice speak to Maggy in RTS (details in the trader area) and he can even supply the wheels and tyres at a good price:thumb:

I run 18 x 7.5 Rota GRA's with standard suspension and they are almost 3kg lighter than the standard 17" WRX wheels..... Nice quality and finish too. Pic here:
