Rota Wheels - Are They Any Good
Hi All,
Just about to upgrade the wheels on my 2004 UK STI, I want something with a fairly aggressive offset so that the arches are nicely filled. I was going to go for a set of Prodrive PFF7s but after seeing some of the Rota wheels I am tempted to buy some. So questions . . . . . . Are the any good in terms of quality What is the best offset to get the arches nicely filled out ? I want go 18s but not sure on offset or width, I was thinking about 8.5" as I think 9"s are probably a little too wide. What do you all think? Kind Regards Chris |
Hi Chris i can only recommend ROTA,we are running aggressive offset(9.5JX18" ET38) on our wagon.
http://thrll.com/img/uploads/updates...e/IMG_0688.JPG Quality is spot on and really we never have any issue with them. About the offset and width,do you running the coilovers? For fairly aggressive offset(ET38) you will need run the coilovers or camber bolts. For best advice i would contact here Mags@RTS https://www.scoobynet.com/member.php?u=35589,he is dealer of Rota and he still give us best price, service and advice Jura |

To the OP, these are 8x18 (et48) with 235/40 tyres. I've added 12mm spacers at the rear.

For the best advice speak to Maggy in RTS (details in the trader area) and he can even supply the wheels and tyres at a good price:thumb: |
O.P-I have Rota Grid Drift on my 2005 blob STI,18 X 8.5,ET35,lowered 25 mm front,15mm rear on BC coilovers,225/40/18 tyres-no clearance problems whatsoever, highly recommended wheels, fill the arches just right imo

I had Rota grids 9.5x18's et35 and they hit my Brembo's with Performance friction disks

OP,
ROTA wheels are very strong. The finish of them are top dollar too. Steve |
I run 18 x 7.5 Rota GRA's with standard suspension and they are almost 3kg lighter than the standard 17" WRX wheels..... Nice quality and finish too. Pic here:
