the only slight problem you will have is because your exhaust has an angled exit you will need to cut the diffuser ... easy enought tho... go for it

chrishigham 15 March 2012 06:22 PM

Where can you get these from? prices?

AN07 PTN 15 March 2012 06:23 PM

i did fit a angled exit box at the same time i fitted the diffuser so what you see is basicly what yours would be like.... i recomend a drill and rivet rather than nut and bolt as its a pain in the arse.. unles you do it with the bumper off

Cheers mate, it looks slightly different to the diffuser I'm considering, I'm looking at the x6 fin but I pressie it'll be the same fitment ?
How long did it take to fit and is it a one man job ?

AN07 PTN 15 March 2012 06:42 PM

well it took about an hour for 2 of us with the bumper still fitted. but neither of us wer the smallest chaps in the world lol.... if i was doing one again i would deffo be going down the drill n rivet route.. but thats only because im not to sure on how to remove the rear bumper.
as far as i can tell they are all 3 piece kits. u do need to drill 2 holes threw the spare wheel well but thats about it

Just realised, if I get one of these, I'll have to chop out a bit for my datum 1 rear tow hook.! Think jonmc needs to come and fit mine . :thumb:.

It would be easier for you to come to me rather than me try and move my workshop to you. But more than happy to help Dan:thumb:

JPC500 17 March 2012 10:50 AM

I could do with a bit of help but I've gotta try and fit mine on my own, and I've never pop riveted before !
Wish me luck lol😃

HT04 17 March 2012 11:01 AM

I'm going down the nut and bolt route. :)

I won't be taking the bumper off to fit my diffuser so was going down the rivet route as I didn't think I'd be able to get the access for nut and bolt option ??
Would I be able too ??

Start in the middle and work you way out towards the sides/wheel arches - there should be enough flex in the plastic to allow you get a spanner and your hand in behind, when you then get to the sides the length of the diffuser will be shorter so you'll be able to reach in:thumb:

I have 1 on my 05 STI,they look good, finish the arse end off nice,HT Auto are good quality items too.I have used black screw caps to cover the hex head bolts that were supplied in the kit-just a little finishing touch, but makes all the difference IMO
