Keith Michaels moan

I am very happy with the company on a whole
The premiums are the best I have found
The service from Gary is second to none
But the credit control department are nearly making me move on
They send me an invoice and 2 days later they send me a "are you struggling to pay, call us for payment help" letter. Then a few days later a "pay now or go elsewhere, we are cancelling your policy" letter.
Normally I don't take much notice of these threats but this time I had cancelled one of my policies and was owed a £960 rebate. 5 and a half weeks later the rebate had not arrived so I called KM and booked track day cover(£60) and asked about the £960 in case the cheque had gone missing. I was told that the cheque was going out that day, so I asked Gary to keep it as I would like to open a policy on the 8th March and this could be used towards that payment and would save KM the bank charges. On the 7th March KM credit control threatened me again saying I owed them £245. £60 of which was the track cover and £185 the new policy as a top up on the £960. These invoices were settled at 5pm on the 7th so before the new policy start date.
I don't like to moan about a company that I promote on here and elsewhere but the time and money used writing these demands and paid for by my premiums annoys me somewhat.
I can understand the urgency for new clients but us old hands need to be trusted
Please sort this out KM :mad::mad:

Hi Pete

I know the letters can be very annoying.... because even i've had one before!!! (my own mum even had a cancellation letter sent to her a while ago)

Unfortunatey the letters are computer generated, and have to be sent out whenever money is outstanding, and on certain timescales (FSA requirement apparently) - even to staff members!

The reason you received quite a few letters close together, was because there was an invoice on each policy (the car and the CV). Ideally they'd have sent one letter out for the whole balance, rather than one for each, but as they are computer generated it works out that way.

Apologies for bombarding you with the letters, will buy you a cup of tea at the next track day to make up for it! :thumb:

Hi Gary
Do I look like some tea drinking shirt lifter to you? Beer or nothing:thumb:
Not having a go at you mate, happy with the deals you sort for me
Just felt as though I should say, I too have issues when mostly I stick up for KM on here.
As for the next track day, will you be a driver or a passenger for that one?

Moley 08 March 2012 09:14 PM

No probs mate, like i said i know it's VERY frustrating :thumb:

Hopefully be on track myself, been over a year since the last one.
Looking at the pictures from Snetterton made me want to get back out there even more!

New turbo should be fitted next week(ish), and being mapped on the 22nd.

Rachel is using it as an everyday car at the moment, and with the wedding in August it's been a bit difficult arranging too much at the moment.

If i don't end up on track myself i'll be there with my crash helmet blagging some passenger rides ;)

Budgie 08 March 2012 09:35 PM

Long overdue a passenger ride in mine mate, you always seem to have a friend who wants a go in your place
As for Rachel, weddings aren't all they are cracked up to be, tell her it can wait a year or two;)

I've had a couple of bad experiences after passenger laps, seems i get a bit car sick on track! Will make sure i don't eat before going out this time, lol.

I've been delaying the wedding for 5 years now, don't think i'd get away with much longer :D

Budgie 08 March 2012 09:53 PM

Ha Ha, me too, I get car sick all the time when not driving
How often do you see me go out with someone else
Unless it Janine ;)
You are welcome to drive mine if that helps mate:thumb:
