Alcatraz - TV Series

Anyone going to be watching this when it starts on "Watch"

Jaybird-UK 07 March 2012 08:05 PM

Not seen anything on it until you mentioned it, looks like it has potential

I've watched the first 5 or so and it is really interesting

mikeywilliams 07 March 2012 08:13 PM

when does it start?

'7' 07 March 2012 08:54 PM

Tuesday March 13th 9pm

Neanderthal 07 March 2012 09:30 PM

Seen up to episode 10 (technically only 9eps, they didn't air 8 for some reason).
It's ok, just a bit formulaic.

Dr.No 07 March 2012 10:22 PM

It's good... I've seen all 10 of the current episodes (Neanderthal - 8 is being shown next week, by the looks of the trailer at the end of 10 - though available 'elsewhere' last week. This week was a double bill with 9 and 10... anyway, work that out).

As it's another J J Abrams production, if you watched LOST then you'll recognise a few similar things:

1. 'Hurley' is one of the main characters
2. Half of the music has been taken directly from LOST, or at least it sounds like it.
3. The title sequence and the title wording is very LOSTesque.

If anyone is interested, other good US TV shows currently airing or 'available' include:

- Suits (on UK TV now I think)
- White Collar (similar in some ways to Suits)
- Homeland
- Alphas

Yup, watching Alphas too. Just like Heroes, humans with special abilities. Great :thumb:

Touch is the new Kiefer Sutherland program.

Suits is on Dave. Bleddy good series. Helps to have seen it from the start to appreciate the relationship/some of the story though.

I'm doubt that it's on UK TV at the moment, but it's available from "other" sources.

Guess what? Usual American scenario. Season 2 cancelled :o

Gear Head 07 December 2012 09:40 AM

I was going to say, I wouldn't invest any time in watching this due to it being cancelled.
