Advice on re-spraying front splitter!
Ok so while my cars off the road I thought I'd save myself £100 and tidy the front splitter up myself.
Spent the last few hours sanding and smoothing it down, but not getting any further with the stone chips. They're pretty small and I wouldn't say deep, but there's hundreds of them. Would I be best to give it a skim of filler? or would a couple of coats of primer/filler primer do the trick? Also whats the crack with spraying it? Is it a case of spraying it, smoothing down, spraying it again etc? Going to spray it in matte black. Oh and the splitter is fibreglass! cheers! :thumb: |
You can get a spray filler http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/Bon...ay_Filler.html
Build it up till the stone chips are gone, then flat it back and spray with matte black. Alternativly you could spray with a black base coat and finish with a matte lacquer. |
