Fitting a under car diffuser
Hello guys,
Have seen many posts of members fitting rear diffusers where you have to cut out the spare wheel hole and part of the bumper. I currently am running a HKS silent system and do not want to go side exit any advice on the how to incorporate the exhaust into the diffuser. Want the look of the ABW classic impreza so thinking of using aluminium or carbon sheet to construct it ? what do you think ? :wonder: |
Sorry forgot to mention it is going to be on a subaru impreza 1999 uk turbo.

You can exit the exhaust out the far passenger bumper

This was my first attempt reading from the above thread and found it not to bad to do ......longest part was cleaning and painting the underside as its now on show ...used a company for the aluminium sheeting flat floor first then the diffuser and had a company bend it into shape took them seconds ....
All in all it was around 200 as I had it all powdercoated ....arch on here sells flat floors pre cut so it would just be a case of cutting out wheel well cutting along rear firewall ...laying down new flat floor and rejoining floor to firewall as in the first pic riveted on then cut bumper and make diffuser ...try and contact arch and join midlands scoobies to get a better look step by step and if your stuck give me a shout |
The exhaust would entirely be your choice side exit ...middle exit ....out the side of the bumper... I also when fitting the diffuser kept the rear plate lights and cut 2 holes so they still shine through I'll fit 2 small brackets to the registration plates for mot time
