hi i think they will as they are currenlty in my wrx working fine!!

the only thing you may need to look at is the kmh to mph convertor!!

as im not sure if you will need it with the mph clocks! my understanding is it either decreases the voltage signal or or increases it for whichever clocks are fitted into the car (if that makes sense)

maybe you could ask about the convertors on the tech forum

BLOB EYE 04 March 2012 12:21 PM

the converters are for converting KPH clocks to MPH so that 20 KPH Reads 20 MPH. if you put MPH clocks in and the wheels spin at 20MPH then the clocks will read 20MPH

ch3w3y 04 March 2012 12:24 PM

I think i'll wait until i have the car then i can plug them in and make sure evrytin works fine and see wat way the speedo reacts to the converter. Hopefully they wont be all sold at that stage.

BLOB EYE 04 March 2012 12:28 PM

lets not get confused.

these are uk clocks.

if you take a JDM (KPH) clocks. the guys open them and put tape over the K so that the clocks show M/H then you put a converter on so that the clocks read MPH.

if you are puting MPH clocks in then they WONT need a converter and will read at the correct speed +/- due to caleberation and gear ratios from the hawk/blob.

clocks do not make your wheels spin at different speeds. its the reading of the JDM clocks you are trying to change to read MPH.

simple science :thumb:

ch3w3y 04 March 2012 12:52 PM

This would be the case if the speed sensor on the gearbox was identical on the JDM Blob Eye and the UK Hawk Eye and sends identical signals to their respective clocks letting the clocks do the deciphering and converting to which ever units needed. Is this the case??

BLOB EYE 04 March 2012 12:58 PM

the ratio's are slightly off. i was about 2-3 MPH difference running hawk in my blob. but that was minus so running through a 70Mph speed camera at 67Mph is good :thumb:

Wilky0302 04 March 2012 01:17 PM

Hi these are genuine mph clocks taken from a uk car just to confirm !

Would these go into a bugeye and work spot on?

Wilky0302 07 March 2012 07:37 PM

Hi yes they should work fine!!

it its an wrx like my car you need to cut a wire behind the clocks to stop it buzzing but the instructions can be found on here!!

Thanks guys

These are in mint condition with a low mileage so I think they are worth the money all day long.....
And they are uk spec so drop straight into any newage car with the correct mph display...... so straight forward with no need for convertors etc.....

Scooby Dooney Doo 09 March 2012 08:06 PM

Ok ill leave them, I'd need mileage corrected as 42k mileage is way too high to drop in to my blob, hence needing them cheaper, good luck with the sale,
