Martha's Harbour

Trying to learn this with a bottle of red for back-up. The guitar piece isn't as complicated as I thought and I seem to be able to hit the notes which I'm pleased about. Beautiful song. Has anyone else had a go? Fancy sticking your interpretation up? I'm trying to pluck-up the courage to do a YouTube version of one of my covers, but can never quite bring myself to do it. :o

Beautiful song, beautifully sung by Julianne Regan, and a lovely guitar melody. I don't play, but have always loved this piece.

Can anyone find an original All About Eve version of this song on the 'net? I don't seem be able and my CD's missing from its case.

Hey James, iTunes have it. I think its an original album.

I also saw some free MP3 downloads on the net, but they look a bit dodgy. I tried downloading some song via those sites ages ago, and my laptop went "ping" to stop the virus.

What a lovely song. It will be nice if you could please put it up after you have mastered it and recorded it. :)

Thanks, Swati. Having just listened to Ant's upload I'm not entirely sure I can do the track any justice. :o

Cheers, Ant. I've not listened to the original for years! :thumb:

You certainly will. With your touch to it.

Great tune. I had never heard it before. Wonderful strings and haunting lyrics. I liked it so much that I have iTuned it on my phone now. I saw my daughter tonight, and I am emailing it to her as well to go with her blue guitar.

Yes, both of these. I'm going to try and learn Scarlet this week, too. I regret not being part of that whole goth'-celtic-folk scene when I was younger. I can't help feeling it was a bit of a waste of time watching and playing football 24/7 and pretending to be hard.

I'm trying to play black magic women - the santana version. I have learned about half of it, it's not that hard but my version sounds like nails on a chalk board compared to Carlo's sweet tone. :D
