Aggressive Wheel Fitment for WRX Wagon - Offset/ Width/ Tyre combinations

Hi Guys,

If/When I manage to find me a suitable wagon after purchasing coilovers i will be looking to get a set of more aggressive alloy wheels - nothing too crazy, am aiming for a similar style to my last car:

Attachment 56505

Attachment 56506

Attachment 56507

Now obviously i could achive that look again easily on another 350, however we all know that different makes and models can require vastly different specs for example theres no way i'd be looking to put the 10" et5 (with spacers) wheels that were on the back of the Z on a wagon! :lol1:

Was wondering what sort of wheel/tyre specs i should be looking at - dont mind getting the arches rolled slightly if need be but dont want to go into any major bodywork!

What are the standard widths/offsets of the standard 04-05 Blobeye wheels?

Mainly looking for strongest offset and width I can reasonably go for with what tyre sizes :thumb:

Thanks in advance

Hi there

Here are pics

But now we are went with Toyo R888 255/45 ZR17 and 9JX17 Drag DR31 for track days, but think we will need get spacers on rear and front and will need alter bodywork

Hi Jura,

Thanks for the reply! Surprises me that a 9.5 fits so easily, with seemingly little work to make them fit, and that you were able to keep sensible (not too stretched) tyres on them too!

Dosn't looklike ET38 are listed anymore in that size, only ET35 from what i can see - though may be worth a phone call to double check this..

Do you rub at all on the rear arches?

Hi Jak

Yes is surprise for us too...As i said, you will need coilovers for this offset. We are run before stretched tyres 225/40 18 on these Rota, but at the end we are went with 245/40 but Mags@RTS suggest we will need at least get our arches rolled and with 245/40 yes slightly rubbing at rear, but now is sorted via raising ride height slightly and now shouldn't rub

But for 235/40-245/40 you will need get arches rolled,i would recommend too for 225/40 with those Rota if you like the stretched tyre setup.but we are run without the arch rolling on 225/40 and those Rota:thumb:

Those Rota are available at ET38

But for best prices i would contact here Mags,he's Rota dealer and he give you best possible price and really top fella:thumb:

Thanks again Jura

Are the ones on your wagon 17's or 18's? sorry i am confused because you said 17 in first post and 18 in second! :)

And don't worry, coilovers will be bought before wheels :)
