Mens Shoes WTF
WTF is going on with mens shoes....
I'm buying a new pair for the Brit Awards on Tuesday :p and practicly ALL mens shoes have no grip and are completly smooth :freak3: I purchased a pair with no tread before as they looked good and had a nightmare of a time. As soon as you walk on a smooth surface it's like being on ice. I had to compramise for some old biddie ones just for a few lines of rubber, Seriously though, anyone else find shoes have no grip - which is rediculous... Rant over. (I know my spellings are bad but I am not downloading anything to correct it) :hjtwofing |

Ever heard of "breaking in" ;)
Most new shoes don't grip. Need to walk a few miles or so before they scrub in. New tyres on cars are the same you know :p |
What's all this Brit Awards bullcrap? Do you seriously think that tripe is music? i can only guess you're going to sniff around the little girls.........or boys:)

You cannot see anything up in row z :(

There are alot of leather soled shoes out there that are designed to make you fall over the trick is to by those rubber sticky things to put on the bottom.
|
Get some Doc Martens.

I've had these ones your ment to 'break' in and tbh I don't fancy almost dying for the first 2 weeks.
And as for the Brits... I'm a VIP with my own booth. The wife works for Mastercard and the perks are £200 tickets :D AND YES I WILL PERV :D :D |

My formal shoes have leather soles, had them for years now, it's like wearing slippers, they still look great with a bit of polish.
With new soles you just need to wear them in. |

Segs......ah yes. I used to wear brogues with steel segs set into the heels.
I worked in a place with stone corridors, you could hear me coming a mile off, (no pervy replies necessary, thanks:D) |
I used to wear thick leather soled shoes for work. They are lethal when new so I used to put them on and give them a good scuffing on the concrete step.
|
I looked for some shoes with leather soles last time I was buying some and couldn't find them anyway on the highstreet!

Patrick Cox shoes, last a life time.
Get a cobbler to stick on rubber soles and a seg in the heel and they're even better! :D |

Worst excuse for a "I'm going to the Brit Awards" thread ever? :p ;)
I had some trainers once that were deadly! I was in a shop where I went to descend some bare concrete stairs, had my son with me and he was very young. I was carrying him and set off down the stairs, second step I slipped and could do nothing to stop my fall as I was cuddling my son to my chest to protect him, I literally went all the way down on my back smacking my head all the way. |
