Thats rubbish mate. There were no secrets that there was a potential tax liability. Craig white knew exactly what he was buying - thats why he paid £1 for it.

Apparently Craig Whyte some some kind of master plan.

One of my mates "who thinks he's in the know" lol Just posted this on FB.

It will soon be Rangers no more and a new Rangers will be born free of debt to the HMRC as it will all be written off. From a business point of view its class but morally terrible but he will get away with it and there is nothing that can be done to stop it.

If that happened and Rangers were then technically a new business, would all the players and staff be made redundant from their old jobs and have to re-recruit as players/staff of this new Rangers business. Or would it be different as Rangers has a parent company running it, like a PLC or whatever? :wonder:

TBH I don't know, but HMRC aren't exactly a bunch of silly cu*t's either, they are bound to be switched on to anything like this.

But saying that the owner Craig Whyte has a dodgy buisness history and probably knows every loophole there is to know.

If they were a 'new' club wouldn't they have to start in the bottom league and work their way up?

Expect HMRC to hunt down some of the large English premiership clubs who also exploited the loophole too.

They are looking at all the Scottish Premier League teams at the moment, my best friends sister, who works for HMRC, is up in Scotland for the next few weeks.

Quite a valid point you have there Moley, I wonder what would happen if that were the case, Any other new club would need to start in the lower divisions and work there way up.

10 points deducted, yet still 9 points clear of 3rd place, shows how weak the Scottish league is?

We don't have Sky pumping in money left right and centre up here.

It was like that before Sky even existed :wonder:

Admittedly English football has always been better but since Sky came on the go English football has moved forward lightyears.

I also remember having to go to Glasgow in the late 80's for a few days work and I was chatting to the cabbie that took me from the airport about Rangers and how they could afford all the quality players Souness had bought ( we were quite rightly envious south of the border :) ) he mentioned what I barely remember as the Rangers scratchcard or lottery?? which earned them thousands each week as well as gate receipts etc, obviously those days are long gone but they were a very wealthy club back in the day and club (not Ally)management must have to accept a lot of the blame for this.

They only started pumping the money in because they knew there would be a huge return on the investment
