2005 legacy immobilised

hello all.

I have an un-modded legacy, 3.0r touring.

Both keys have suddenly stopped working. I've replaced the battery in one of the fobs and no effect. So, I'm currently using the keypad in the car.

Any idea how I can permanently bypass the immobiliser?

I fear that I'm going to have to replace a very expensive black box, unless someone has some bright ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Might be a long shot but I had a similar problem where the keys wouldn't unlock the car or start it. Turned out to be a fuse in the end, might be worth checking especially if both keys stopped working at the same time. Hope that helps a bit, good luck

Don't see a fuse blown. Which circuit is it on?

Cant remember exactly but it was the same circuit as the interior light, 10A fuse i think - that was on a 2001 Legacy H6 though so could be different from yours
