DCCD on a classic

As above my STI Type R dash has no lights that indicated the settings, is there a fuse for it? In the snow with the diff locled it didn't seem to make much difference in the snow going up a hill on Sunday evening, at one point sideways :lol1:

My dccd hasn't had a bottom light for a while.Every setting works though.
If you park up,go on full lock, move the setting forward about halfway and slowly start to move you should feel lots of resistance.
Have you tried this?

You guys are so lucky. All we've had is rain, not a spot of snow.Im desperate to lock the diff and have a play.

It started off with no light on the open setting and now there's no lights at all.

Mr moff 10 February 2012 12:54 PM

Could still be just the lights. Can you feel any resistance at all when you move the roller forward?

Mine did this a few years back......turned out to be a short circuit in the fuse box.

Paul@zen found it in the end......

Dccd has it's own ecu aswell so might be worth checking that.

with the diff forward drive slowly and do a sharp turn , if its crabbing and feels horrible, your dccd is ok, if it feels fine its not working

ronjeramy 11 February 2012 12:05 AM

Nope no difference with the diff locked. rooferman do you know if it was a fuse under the bonnet or under the dash that paul changed?

Cheers mike :)

rooferman 11 February 2012 10:18 AM

No it was a short in the fuse box iirc....wasnt down to a blown fuse.

ronjeramy 11 February 2012 10:41 AM

Might have to have a rummage about in there.......
