Need new ignition leads

Which ones should I buy for my 99uk turbo?
I'd obviously want the best value but don't want to end up with rubbish either.
The best price I've seen are the formula power leads listed on here for £50 but are they any good?
Thanks in advance!

get subaru leads far better than aftermarket leads

philip59 06 February 2012 09:39 AM

I'm a bit biased here, but our leads are better than OEM. Full money back gaurantee, if not TOTALLY satisfied. See our 2390 positive feedbacks on Ebay, which many are for HT leads.

got an eBay link?

philip59 06 February 2012 10:31 AM

See item 310306823815 which has teardrop plug boots and coil on top of manifold. See Ebay shop under Subaru for other models or call me on 0208 8969172.

If I was to get Subaru leads where would it be best to get them from? The stealers?

Davros 1979 06 February 2012 10:43 AM

Yep. I had a split one so got a new set from the stearlers. Not cheap!

winston69 06 February 2012 10:54 AM

Just called them, £68... Not bad...
Problem I have is, I had magnecore on my old scoob and had to replace them eventually as they perished and caused misfiring when it was wet. Same problem I'm having with the new car. The ones fitted now are an after market part from what I can tell as they are red. Don't want to end up in the same situation in 12 months or so...?

philip59 06 February 2012 11:07 AM

Whats stearlers??

Davros 1979 06 February 2012 11:07 AM

I put these on about 3 years ago and not a sign of wear. By all accounts the originals are decent, thats why I didnt go aftermarket.

Davros 1979 06 February 2012 11:08 AM

Dealers. Called stealers cos of the amount they rob you!

Philip,
If I may ask - what is it exactly that makes them better than OEM?

Thanks
are they genuine parts?

joz8968 06 February 2012 12:20 PM

We believe so - ICP sell OEM spec parts at reduced cost.

philip59 06 February 2012 12:32 PM

They are 10mm multicore and the core is very good quality. Price inc P&P and VAT is £56.95 and i promise you you will be very happy with them. If i am correct, your car has teardrop plug boots and 3 right angled and one straight coil boot.
Regards Philip
PS if different, let me know.

mazmike 06 February 2012 01:45 PM

speak to some mappers and they will tell you the same ,the oem ones are the best ,

winston69 06 February 2012 01:50 PM

Decisions decisions...

joz8968 06 February 2012 01:55 PM

winston,

I have a MY99 STi 5 and bought it back in Jun 2010 (so 19 months ago). Car has an alleged c.48k on the clock and has since been modded to 342bhp at Nov 2010... 360 at Aug 2011... and 384 since Sep 2011.

So assuming the leads/pack are the OEM originals (and I have no reason to believe not).......... then happy days (i.e. no misfires at all).
