The most important part (apart from the car) is your driving licence, as someone found out when we went to Brands in December. :Whatever_

You will not be allowed on track if you do not have it
(DVLA will not be open to verify you hold one as it is a Sunday!) :nono:

Helmets will be available to hire on the day

You also need to make sure your arms and legs are covered - both drivers & passengers (though my guess is this won't be a problem in February!)

M444GY 03 February 2012 11:24 AM

just the card part is acceptable yes ???

dbrad 03 February 2012 12:02 PM

Both parts normally required mate. I did snett last Saturday, fantastic track. I did 2 tanks of Fuel, much much more than I normally do at Brands. Nearest Shell is 15min pootle up the road towards Norwich.

53 03 February 2012 12:03 PM

^ you do any vids like you did when we were at brands ? :)

dbrad 03 February 2012 12:07 PM

Didn't manage to get any footage, I was in my JDM Blob sti as the legacy is undergoing some changes and I wouldn't dare take the 22B on track. Ill pop the camera in the blob for MLR Brands in FEB :)

From the MSV site

All vehicles participating in track days at Snetterton must conform to the noise limit, on a static test, of 105 dB(A). Noise checks to establish adherence to the relevant limit will be conducted in accordance with current measuring methods as defined by the MSA. Essentially this means that the noise test shall be measured from a position 0.5m behind the exhaust at a 45 degree angle, with the engine running at ¾ maximum revs. In cases where the vehicle has two separated exhausts the measurement will be taken as above from the median point between the two.

If anyone wants testing before we go let me know and I'll do it for you.

Cheers

Rich

Just thought he needed a little more reminding - no 'get out' clause this time as its a Sunday!! :thumb:

dbrad 07 February 2012 11:09 AM

They do state that they have a driveby limit (was 95db when I went) a friend got sent home after removing some baffling (wire wool!!) from his Kumho championship BMW.

Spec'c'57 07 February 2012 11:50 AM

92db drive by, 105db static.

rickya 07 February 2012 12:39 PM

I think I will have to use my bung to meet 92 db driveby or just come off the gas down the pit straight where the drive by is measured. :(

Spec'c'57 07 February 2012 02:00 PM

There usually pretty good, if you manage to pass the static then have an issue with drive by they will warn you, then fit the bung and try that. The Radical statics WITH bung @ 104db but never been an issue on drive by.

MelTypeR 07 February 2012 02:03 PM

Ricky I'm sure you'll be fine.
Wasn't an issue for me on either static or drive by and I don't have a bung fitted.
