Newage Wrx figures - what you had?
Hi everyone,
Just wondering what figures you have got from a newage wrx and what mods? What's the most someone had out of a wrx on standerd box and internals? Thanks! |
330bhp (Sti turbo/injectors/intercooler), standard brakes were deffo struggling........
|
My mapper told me he knew of someone running 400bhp on a standard box!? For how long who knows??
I'm running around 280 with air filter, decat except the down pipe and a remap. |
276bhp/314 lb ft on a TD04, walbro pump, panel filter, 3 port, fully decatted up/down pipes, remapped by Dunc at RCM 3 weeks ago.
|
Yes my brakes are awfull too! Need uprated pretty soon.
Wow 400bhp, heard its the torque that kills them. And I suppose its down to how its driven. As a daily driver who uses the power every now and then shouldn't be too bad? |
ive got
walbro 255 3port boost sol sti injectors sti up pipe td05 18g sti intercooler decat downpipe and full system im hoping for 330bhp then save for a 6 speed |
I'm thinking of swapping my vf34 for the td05 18g.. I've read on here there good for 350-380ish?.. Should hit 330bhp easily!
|
I'm running a standard Bug WRX engine with TD05 18G, front mount, roger clark headers, STi pink injectors with FPR etc. plus a big slug of 50/50 water and meth injection.
Road dyno at 403 BHP. Killed two 5 speed boxes and now on a jap 6 speed. Shaun |
i have standard 5 spd
vf34 550s sti tmic full decat system + up pipe walbro iridium plugs roger clark induction ecutek remap modified oil pump 360.1 bhp 320 ft :D |
Got 340bhp from my bugeye running a stage 2 ecutek remap, VF34 and supporting mods.
|
The standard brakes are shocking and can't even cope with the PPP (c260 bhp) - I would spend money on these before getting extra power - as they say power is nothing withour control - you'll never be able to use it effectively:thumb:

Newage have the 754 box which is stronger than a 752 so can easily cope with those sort of numbers.
|

My last bug was 332/329 with VF35/STI topmount & Pinks with an OS remap and the standard 4 pots are SHOCKING with anything around this power, Got brake fade very very quickly with a bit of spirited driving :D

The standard brakes can't handle being driven hard with the power it's got now, for a start. |

340-350 is the max u can take a wrx on standard box without killing it depending on how u drive the gears. 300-330 is safe all day long on a newage

Made 276bhp.. But, now have the following going on: STI pink 550cc injectors Custom decat up-pipe VF35 Turbo Pro-Drive 3 port boost solinoid HRC Fuel pump KS Tech induction kit and another Duncan remap.. see how it goes from there.. My money's on the clutch going first lol |
