Hole centres on exhaust?

Hi, i just bought a used decat downpipe for my02 sti (japspeed bellmouth and 2.5") The hole centres on the flange are 115mm. I had previously bought a gasket this is obviously smaller (90-105mm ish )
Apart from me having the wrong gasket, it got me thinking if this downpipe is gonna be a straight fit to stock centre section??

You;d like to think it was a straight fit. That looks like one of those shaskets from ebay (sh1tty gaskets) that are never any good.

used the same type gasket in the past with no issues

I bought the same material gaskets from ebay and I can only deduce that they were cut out by reception infants.

Asked the exact same thing on here a while back mate as could not work what was what ??!! its deffinattly a slightly oval shaped gasket as opposed to a round one, the hole is round on the the midpipe but again its a slightly oval shaped gasket that you need. 115mm across the holes that joins up to the downpipe part number : 44022AA122, cost me £17.31 + vat from the highly recommended Import car parts.

had me stumped as well until I was advised it was a slightly oval shaped gasket I required !!

is it gonna mate up ok with my standard centre centre section. I just wrongly assumed it would be the same as back box flange dimensions.

No probs glad you got sorted, it took me a few nights off asking about this mate as could not get my head around it requiring the oval shaped gasket with it being a round pipe it joined onto, sunk in in the end !!!
good luck !!
